So…I’ve been bad at blogging for quite a while now. Partially because being a new mom has taken up a lot of my time. And partially because it’s hard to get started again after maternity leave. However, since my last post, we’ve had a couple of fairly large life events that have happened to keep us super busy…so I want to update you.
Throughout the entire month of March, we dedicated ourselves to packing up our entire house for a move from Lebanon to West Chester. We moved on March 31st and couldn’t be happier. We enjoyed living in Lebanon, but our entire lives take place in the Mason/West Chester area, so we are excited to be closer to everything.
However, April brought us profound sadness with the sudden death of my 14-year-old cousin C.J. C.J. and I were very close when he was younger and I was heartbroken at the news. It was incredibly devastating for my family, and as you can imagine, it’s been hard to deal with.
So as you can see…I’ve had a lot on my plate. But my goal is to be more consistent with blogging, facebooking, and otherwise connecting with my clients. I apologize for my absence…but I’m officially back!
And since a photography blog needs photos, I’d like to share a few photos of my late-cousin C.J.
This is C.J. as he will always remain in my memory. An ornery little boy with a very sweet smile.

This is C.J. and me back in 2003.

This is one of my favorite photos of C.J. and I. I can’t remember what exactly was happening. I just remember that he was getting into trouble for something and I was talking to him about it. He was such a little sweetie and stood there and listened the whole time.

This is a photo I took of C.J. at my brother’s wedding in 2009. He caught the garter and was quite proud of himself.

And finally…as he will be remembered by most…a true country boy…holding a disgusting fish that he just caught.

Rest in Peace, little buddy. We miss you!
