We will be at Circle Tail this Sunday, June 27th from 12-4 for their Open House and Reunion Event. There will be lots of other great vendors as well as some awesome demonstrations with the Circle Tail service dogs.
For those of you who don’t know who Circle Tail is, they are a non-profit organization that trains service dogs and then gives them to people who need them free of charge. They do not buy or breed any of their dogs. They adopt from shelters and are given dogs from breeders as donations. They also function as a rescue and the majority of their dogs that are available for adoption are trained through their prison training program. Overall, we feel that Circle Tail does a great job of caring for all of God’s creation…both humans and animals alike. That is why we think this group is so great!
So join us on Sunday at Circle Tail’s Open House. Also, when you make a $10 donation to Circle Tail, we will give you a $50 gift certificate towards a regular private session. For more details on the event, click here. And for detour driving instructions, click here.
We hope to see you there!!!
Today was our first ever Pet Photography 101 class held at the SPCA. Being our first class, it was a small crowd…but we had fun, learned some new things, and snapped a few photos of some really cute dogs. Here are some of our favorite shots that we took with our point & shoot camera…
This is dog 347. He’s a very mellow shih tzu mix. If you are looking for a small k9 who will occasionally not listen to a word you say…then look no further!

This is dog 902. She is a very sweet boxer mix. She’s recently had pups and seems to know basic commands. She would make a great addition to your home!

If you are interested in these or any other rescue dog, please visit the Sharonville SPCA. For a full listing of available pets, click here.
Update: Dog 347 has been adopted!!!
Have you ever wondered how to take better photos of your pets? Well here’s your opportunity!
We are offering two beginners pet photography classes this summer at the SPCA in Sharonville. We will go over the basics of lighting, composition, and some basic tips on how to get your pet to cooperate while you’re shooting.
These classes are for the point and shoot shooter. We will not be teaching you how to use an SLR. This is simply an opportunity to learn how to make your photographs better and is by no means a replacement for professional photography.
Our first class is being held on Saturday, June 19 from 10am – 12pm. Cost is $40. Make a $10 donation to the SPCA and your cost will be $30. No registration necessary. We simply ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the class begins in order to get signed-in.
Be sure to bring your point and shoot camera. But please DO NOT bring your pets. We will be practicing on the animals at the SPCA. Maybe the photo you take will end up on that pet’s petfinder page and help find them a new home!
This photo was taken with a point and shoot camera. It can be done.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon on Main Street in Over the Rhine for Second Sundays on Main. The theme was “Dog Days”. And there were a lot of dogs that came out with their humans to enjoy the festivities.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to say “hello”. We enjoyed meeting you all.
These 2 greyhounds are available for adoption. If you’re interested…contact Queen City Greyhounds.

This lil pittie pup was by far one of the cutest dogs we saw all day!

It always cracks me up when I see a family with one giant dog and one itty bitty dog. This was no exception.

Our booth!

Need something to do on Sunday afternoon? Then come hang out at the “Dog Days” Street Fair in Over the Rhine. There will be lots of fun vendors, yummy food…and US!!! We’ll be there offering mini-mini-mini sessions. So grab your kids and your dogs and come out for a fun filled afternoon.
Come join us at Mayfest next weekend at Red Dog Resort and Spa. We’ll be there along with tons of animal rescues, pet vendors, delicious foods, and fun activities for the entire family. We hope to see you there!

To cast your vote, simply leave a comment on the photo of the dog that you think is the cutest. Each comment from a unique facebook user account counts as a single vote (multiple votes from the same user will only be counted as one vote.) You may vote for multiple dogs if you wish.
The dog with the most votes at Midnight, EST, on March 31st will receive a free Private Session with Love Mutt Photography.
So go vote…then invite all your friends to go vote…then tell them to invite their friends to go vote! Let’s find out who is the cutest dog in Cincinnati!
Fine Print Mumbo Jumbo
We reserve the right to disqualify any votes we feel to be an attempt to circumvent the system of honesty laid out in our voting process. Prize session of $300 value is non transferable and must be redeemed within 6 months of contest ending on March 31. Prize includes session only. All prints and additional products must be purchased at regular price. Winner will be announced via the Love Mutt Photography blog as well as our facebook account on April 1, 2010.
Now that you’ve all had a chance to view some of the photos from the Red Dog event last weekend, it’s time for me to share some of my personal faves.
We’ll start with my new favorite breed…greyhounds. These lil sweeties are from Queen City Greyhounds and are the most affectionate, loyal, and LAZY dogs I’ve ever met. Three of my favorite qualities all rolled into one breed.

If a picture is worth a thousand words…I rest my case!
Next…who can resist a pug’s face? I know I can’t. Here are some of my favorite pug faces. Most of these lil guys are from Ohio Pug Rescue.

This lil sweetie is from Labrador Retriever Rescue of Cincinnati. That’s right…he’s from a LAB rescue. Kudos to LRRoC for not discriminating against a non-lab. And kudos to Leopold for learning to sit for the first time at this event.

And then there’s this lil guy. His mom works with LRRoC. Here he is enjoying the spoils of victory from winning the Pet Tricks Contest.

To view the photos taken at last Saturday’s Adoption Event at Red Dog Pet Resort and Spa, please…
Enjoy 10% when you order by Friday, February 12th!
Thank you to everyone who weathered the snow to come out and support local animal rescue.
