Come join us at Mayfest next weekend at Red Dog Resort and Spa. We’ll be there along with tons of animal rescues, pet vendors, delicious foods, and fun activities for the entire family. We hope to see you there!
MAYFESTFLYER
This past weekend, Matt and I got to travel home to Illinois to visit family. My sister-in-law is pregnant and ready to give birth any day now. So we took some photos of “Baby J” (its either gonna be Jordyn or Josie…they haven’t decided yet) inside of Mommy’s tummy.

And I can’t take enough photos of my nephew Hunter (who is also expecting a lil baby brother or sister later this year!) This time we photographed him in his Easter outfit…which I think is just adorable.
This is my favorite.

I couldn’t resist doing some color effects since he was wearing such an old school outfit.

This is my mama’s favorite.

And this is how we ended!

I’m so excited. I just got my copy of Happy Tails Books “Lost Souls: Found! Chihuahua” yesterday which features one of my photos on the back cover. This is my 3rd photo to adorn a Happy Tails Book!
If you haven’t already…check them out! A portion of every sale goes to benefit animal rescue. You can see a list of rescues they support on their website.

Here you can see my photo of Princess (Cincinnati’s Cutest Dog 2009) on the back cover.

I am so excited! I just got back the portrait of Ivy that I sent to Ali of Ali’s Paw Prints for her to work her magic on…and it looks AWESOME!!!! Here’s the original…

And here’s what Ali came up with…

I think she did such a fantastic job. I can’t wait to have it printed huge and hung on our wall. I’ll post pictures of that too.
Keep in mind that Ali doesn’t need a professional photo to do what she does. If you have a snapshot of your dog that you love, she can turn it into a masterpiece. So check her out!!! You won’t be disappointed.
If you’ve looked at any of the photos of our border collie mix, Ivy…you know that she has a pretty nice long coat. Well, not anymore! We gave her a nice new summer cut. Something to keep her cool and make her look all young and hip.
Here’s a pic of Ivy from last week…

And here she is today after her trimdown…

We left her tail, her head, and her chest. Everything else is gone!

And with all the leftovers…we’re making another dog!

Through a series of runny poo…we have discovered that Allison, our foster pit bull has hookworms. That’s right…she has little monsters living in her intestines. So now, not only does she need to be treated…but our 3 dogs need to be treated as well. Woot!

I haven’t shot “just for fun” in a while. So I decided that today was gonna be the day. I took my two well-behaved dogs into the back yard for some new photos (cuz I don’t have enough of them.) Here are a few of my favorites…
Naula…my lil pittie

I love her ears!

This is Naula doing her ninja moves. She’s so fast, I can’t catch them all on camera (even shooting at like 1/1250!)

Ivy…future therapy dog of America!

LOL…I promise, I do not give alcohol to my animals!
